Golden State Guiding is excited to announce the first annual Red Rock Roundup event, this spring 2019, in beautiful Red Rock Canyon!
Come join us for an unforgettable weekend of climbing in beautiful Red Rock Canyon, conveniently located just 30 minutes outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. Red Rock plays host to some of the worlds best sandstone sport climbing crags, big wall routes and bouldering in the Western United States. Whether you’re new to climbing, an avid sport or trad climber or simply looking to get out for a weekend and meet fun, likeminded people, then this event is for you!
Throughout the weekend you’ll have the pleasure of climbing world class sandstone in a beautiful landscape, the option to choose either our sport climbing or multi pitch climbing package for the weekend, and you’ll get to enjoy two nights under the stars in Red Rock Campground just 10 minutes from many of the popular climbing destinations. Jordan Cannon // Yosemite Slideshow
Stacked house last night at @verticalhold for the Yosemite Slideshow presented by none other than @arcteryx athlete and Golden State Guiding Ambassador and Guide @cannonjtc! The climbing community came together for great stories, big wall talk and some insight into the last few years Jordan has spent in Yosemite Valley. Big thanks to everyone who came out to the event and supported not only Jordan, but the organizations we were raising funds for through our raffle, @joshuatreefriends and @yosemiteconservancy! Sierra Single Pitchn' Event // Eastern Sierra
Another amazing weekend with great people in a beautiful place! We wrapped up our Sierra Single Pitchn’ Event in the Eastern Sierra and I think it’s safe to say we’re still coming down from a big high! We spent 2 nights camping in beautiful Rock Creek Canyon and ventured out each day into the Eastern Sierra, sampling some fine rock climbing along the way. Day 1 was spent at Clark Canyon where we climbed large formations composed of volcanic rock followed by a dip in Rock Creek Lake to round out the day. Day 2 we ventured north into the Mammoth Lakes Basin area where we spent the day climbing at Horseshoe Slabs, nestled between Horseshoe Lake and beautiful pine trees of all shapes and sizes. The Sierra is a very special place to all of our Guides, it’s a privilege to be able to introduce people to a place so near and dear to our heart. Thanks to everyone who attended the first annual Sierra Single Pitchn’ Event, this is just the beginning of more fun outings to come on the Eastside! Also, big shout out to GSG Guide Greg Davis for facilitating the weekend and to GSG Guide Tyler Dandurand and GSG Apprentice Guide Sarah Barille for helping along the way. Awesome team we have, couldn't do it without you guys!

Golden State Guiding was all over the place this past weekend in Southern California from the cliffs of Mission Gorge to the splitter cracks on Mount Woodson to the high desert in Joshua Tree! GSG has booked out 3 weekends this Fall, 2017 in Joshua Tree National Park, at the Indian Cove campground and we want you to come out and climb and camp with us! Each weekend will consist of 2 nights camping, 2 days of climbing and 1 meal and refreshments (Saturday night) provided by Golden State Guiding and Saint Archer Brewery.
