Single or multi day backcountry splitboarding and skiing in the Eastern Sierra mountains, better known as the Range of Light. We offer a wide variety of the best splitboard and ski destinations the Eastern Sierra has to offer, in various types of terrain, to accommodate any backcountry splitboarder and skier’s abilities and desires. All Golden State Guiding Guides are all professionally trained by the American Mountain Guides Association in the Splitboard and Ski disciplines and have the experience, backcountry knowledge, and avalanche training to safely access the areas you’re looking to earn some turns in and know where to find those deep pow stashes on the descent!

Our splitboard and ski trips are fully customizable to meet your expectations in the front and backcountry and are facilitated throughout the following zones; Mammoth Lakes, June Lake, Lee Vining, Rock Creek Canyon, Bishop, Big Pine, Independence, Convict Creek, Pine Creek and McGee Creek. Golden State Guiding operates under permit on the Inyo National Forest.
