Our second installment of the Weston Sierra Splitboard Progam will take place in Mammoth Lakes where we'll host a Split 101 day in the field! Guests of the program will have the opportunity to demo splitboards provided by Weston Backcountry and bindings provided by Karakoram and Spark R&D. The focus of the Split 101 day in the field will be to review your splitboarding equipment and ask any questions you may have about your gear, briefly touch on tour planning for your days out in the backcountry, learn basic splitboard touring techniques from our professionally trained Splitboard Guide, and to do a small tour of our own in the front country to apply all the techniques and skills you’ve learned up until this point.

***Please note we have enough Weston splitboards for 6 participants depending on our guests sizing. Splitboard setups will be provided on a first come first serve basis upon signing up for the course. If we are unable to provide you a splitboard setup we recommend renting one from Mammoth Mountaineering in town and supporting a local shop. Only a splitboard setup (board and bindings), trekking poles and skins will be provided. All participants are required to bring all other equipment including their snowboarding boots.***
