With the support of Weston, Golden State Guiding will be rolling out our Splitboarding 201 Courses on Mach 11th and 12th in the Mammoth Lakes region! In our Splitboarding 201 course we put you in the driver seat! This one day course is designed with the intention to let our students be the leaders of their day in the field while our professionally trained Splitboard Guides supervise and give critical feedback along the way. Students will be given homework the night before their course and will work together to develop a trip plan for their day out using the appropriate resources given to them. They’ll work as a team to make decisions in the backcountry while mitigating risk in avalanche terrain. They’ll discuss options among themselves and ensure all voices are heard and decisions respected. And last but not least, they’ll have a great time shredding some Eastern Sierra corn while enjoying the process along the way!
