Golden State Guiding and our good friends Têra Kaia, Fixe Hardware, Pure Project Brewing and Rove: Adventure Brewery are at it again and throwing another awesome Ladies Weekend Out event in the Red River Gorge, centrally located in the state of Kentucky, on November 17th - 20th! Twelve lucky ladies will have the opportunity to climb at some of the Red’s most coveted sandstone crags with our all female, AMGA certified team.

The Red is unlike any climbing venue in the US. It plays host to thousands of climbs, mainly sport, but some trad, of all levels, and is considered to be one of the premiere climbing mecca’s, not only in the US, but in the world. Composed of beautiful sandstone cliffs all throughout this National Forest, the Red’s natural scenery is unlike anything you’ll experience on the West Coast or the Southwest desert. The climbing is steeper than most would expect, yet due to the sandstone is more forgiving on the skin than say, Joshua Tree. The focus of the event will be around sport climbing and the techniques and systems used in this climbing medium, but some trad will be reviewed to round out the long weekend.
